About me

I’ve been an athlete for as long as I can remember—if it’s a sport, I’ve likely tried it. From soccer and basketball to dance (tap, jazz, and ballet), field hockey, swimming, track, skiing, tennis, and equestrian, I’ve explored a wide range of athletic pursuits. There was even a brief stint in taekwondo and sailing. But of all the sports I’ve dabbled in, running has always been my constant.
There’s a photo of me as a kid, probably about four feet tall, racing in jean shorts and Sketchers—my first real taste of competitive running. That love for speed and movement only deepened as I got older. In high school, I became the captain of my track team, specializing in short-distance races with a particular passion for the 400m. But what truly set running apart for me wasn’t just the rush of competition—it was the way it grounded me.
Running has always been my time to clear my mind, to find joy in the rhythm of my steps, and to celebrate small wins — getting out the door and staying committed to myself. On long runs, I’ve often found that the physical rhythm of my body creates mental clarity, helping me sort through the constant whirlwind of thoughts racing through my head.
Coming from a sprinting background, I’ve also learned that sometimes the key to going faster is learning to slow down. It’s a mindset that has served me well: take things one mile at a time, focus on the present, and trust the process.
You hear the phrase movement is medicine - it's not just a saying, it's scientifically proven that when you move your body not only are there a variety of physical benefits, not only benefits the body, but also releases hormones that can help reduce anxiety and depression. Running has always been my form of healing, my way of staying centered and balanced. Running has also allowed me to continue to challenge myself and grow into a stronger athlete. I hope to guide runners to find their strength and grow to their full running potential (and have fun while doing it!).
